Importance
It is important to not get yourself hurt, I have been shot in the eye, ITS A BITCH!.

Masks/Eyewear
These is the only essential protection in airsoft. Eyewear is required in either plastic eye wear, or a full mask. For plastic eye wear there are benefits, less heat, increased vision, unless theres fogging, and easier aiming. For most guns aiming is not a problem, but for my Famas atleast, it is. A mask should be worn if it does not interfere with aiming. Getting shot in the face sucks, especially at close-range.

Clothing
In the winter you can wear jackets which are good protection, in the summer good luck with that. Also, once its warm, lose the jacket, it make shard to realize you have been hit, so dont be a loser. Wear atleast the right colors, and you be shot at less, which will help the most. If you are real into it, get armor, but thats not an excuse to say you didnt get shot!
